Innocent Mini Movie Competition 2011

Posted: February 20, 2011 in Ads, Michael's Films
So, first blog post. And it’s a bit of a barmy one.
On 19th February 2011, I was invited down to the Innocent Fruit Towers for the beginning of the Mini-Movies Competition. After a brilliant talk by Ben Wheatley – director of the original Innocent Super Smoothie ad, recent award-winner for his debut feature ‘Down Terrace’ and general lo-fi film-making don – we were asked to make our own versions.
Guidelines;
1) Keep it lo-fi.
2) 30 seconds or less.
3) Make it – write it, storyboard it, film it and edit it in camera – in the next hour.
GO!!
Our group – top lads Seb Cowan, Paul Wade, Vernon Ward and me – were given the ‘car chase’ genre – and here it is. It’s barmy and bizarre, but with just over an hour, it’s a work of art! Cheers guys!
(PS – no ‘money shot’ comments, alright??)
